Baseball Recap: Knoxville Central Takes a Loss

Knoxville Central fell victim to Oak Ridge and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 1-0. The Bobcats just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Knoxville Central's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 10-9. As for Oak Ridge, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season.

Knoxville Central will take on Morristown-Hamblen West at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Trojans have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season. As for Oak Ridge, they will be playing at home against Hardin Valley Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
