Softball Recap: Arcadia Starts off Right with Win over Lima Senior

Arcadia had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with an 11-8 victory over the Lima Senior Spartans. The win continues a trend for the Redskins in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Allyson McCartney and Addison Kennedy did most of the damage at the plate: McCartney went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Kennedy scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Kennedy has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Alexis Carter, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5.

Lima Senior's defeat was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arcadia will take on North Baltimore at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lima Senior, they will face off against Start at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
