Basketball Recap: Eastside College Prep Takes a Loss

Eastside College Prep has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 55-50 heartbreaker at the hands of the Harker Eagles. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Harker's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Vyom Vidyarthi led the charge by dropping a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Those 17 points gave Vidyarthi a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Advay Monga, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten boards.

Eastside College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for Harker, their record now sits at 10-8.

Eastside College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 61-27 victory against More on the 27th. As for Harker, they will venture away from home to challenge Menlo School at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Harker is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.1 points per game this season.
