Oneida blew Jellico out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Jellico got their revenge. The Indians fell just short of the Blue Devils by a score of 62-59. The Indians' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Trey Vann produced another solid effort going 10-for-18 en route to 29 points and eight boards for Jellico. Vann's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 18 points. Another player making a difference was Jacob Bowlin, who shot 63% from the field to rack up 15 points and seven rebounds.

Oneida's loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 18-6. As for Jellico, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Oneida is set to face off against their familiar foe Coalfield at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Jellico will take on rival Oliver Springs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
