Basketball Recap: Westminster Christian Takes a Loss

Westminster Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They took a hard 43-28 fall against the Marquette Mustangs. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.

Westminster Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Marquette, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Westminster Christian has already played their next match (against Ladue Horton Watkins), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Marquette will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lafayette at 5:30 p.m. on February 4th.
