The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Highlanders apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2023.
In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Gateway sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 23-25, 25-21, 27-29, 15-7.
Even though they lost, Gateway was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in three consecutive contests.
