Football Recap: Belvidere North Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Belvidere North unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They had to suffer through a 40-12 loss at the hands of the Crystal Lake Central Tigers. The Blue Thunder were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-0.

Belvidere North didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Maddi G. and Chloe Schadle. Schadle got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Belvidere North didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 36-6 loss against Guilford on the 27th. As for Crystal Lake Central, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 14-0 defeat against St. Edward on the 3rd.
