Baseball Recap: Silver Lake Takes a Loss

Silver Lake was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Nemaha Central Thunder. The Eagles were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunder earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Silver Lake's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Nemaha Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-5.

Looking ahead, Silver Lake will take on Riley County on Thursday. As for Nemaha Central, they have already played their next game, a 12-2 victory against Marysville on the 21st.
