Baseball Game Preview: Byron Bears vs. John Marshall Rockets

The Byron Bears will venture away from home to face off against the John Marshall Rockets at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Byron is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Byron couldn't beat Pine Island on Wednesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the third inning. The Bears took a 9-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers.

Meanwhile, John Marshall didn't have quite enough to beat Faribault on Thursday and fell 2-1.

John Marshall saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Isaac Leth, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double. That double was Leth's first of the season.

John Marshall's loss dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Byron, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Byron came up short against John Marshall in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, falling 4-1. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
