Softball Recap: Skipstone Academy Wins Going Away Against Peachtree Academy

Skipstone Academy hadn't done well against Peachtree Academy recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Skipstone Academy Warriors put the hurt on the Peachtree Academy Panthers with a sharp 19-7 win. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 12-0 victory the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2023.

Brookelyn Rogers made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Rogers was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with three runs and one triple.

In other batting news, Skipstone Academy got a massive performance out of Josie Willey, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Hardin, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, four RBI, and one double.

Skipstone Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in March of 2024.
