Basketball Recap: Weequahic Indians vs. Golda Och Academy        
        
		
            
 The Weequahic Indians proved they can win big  last Sunday (they won by 22) but  on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a  33-31  win over Golda Och Academy. The score was all tied up  18-18 at the break, but Weequahic was the  better team in the second half.
 Weequahic got their  victory on the backs of several key players, but it was  Shaun Hamilton out in front who  scored seven points. Hamilton continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Tasir Barnes, who  scored three points along with five  steals.
 The  victory  makes it two in a row for Weequahic and  bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for Golda Och Academy, they have  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost eight of their last nine contests,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.
 Weequahic won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against the Panthers on January 31st. Tech is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a three-game streak of away losses. As for Golda Och Academy, they and the  will face off  at 4:00  p.m.  on February 1st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
