Elmwood has gone 7-0 against Cuba/Spoon River Valley recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Elmwood Trojans just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Cuba/Spoon River Valley Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Elmwood came up short against Illinois Valley Central on Wednesday, falling 54-32.

Meanwhile, Cuba/Spoon River Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a 43-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Illini Central/Greenview.

Cuba/Spoon River Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 6-9. As for Elmwood, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Elmwood was able to grind out a solid victory over Cuba/Spoon River Valley in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 45-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elmwood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
