First Academy piles up the points against Lake Mary Prep

Recap: First Academy Eagles vs. Lake Mary Prep Griffins
The First Academy Eagles's three-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They breezed by Lake Mary Prep at home to the tune of 50-17. The victory was just what First Academy needed coming off of a 76-13 defeat in their prior matchup.
First Academy found their leader in underclassman Addison Schwartz, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Schwartz scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Kyra Spivey, who scored 12 points.
First Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Lake Mary Prep, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. First Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Orangewood Christian at 4:00 p.m. on January 5th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Orangewood Christian is ranked 569th, while First Academy is ranked 563rd). As for Lake Mary Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Father Lopez at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Father Lopez is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home.
