The Valley Center Hornets will venture away from home to challenge the Goddard Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley Center is no doubt hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses dating back to last season.
Valley Center is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They really took it to Haysville Campus for the full four quarters, racking up a 37-2 victory. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Hornets considering their seven-point performance the game before.
Valley Center's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Connor Meyer, who threw for 133 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 65 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. The dominant performance gave Meyer a new career-high in rushing yards. RayJ Logan was another key receiver, picking up 98 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
