Baseball Recap: Park Place Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Park Place Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the East Rankin Academy Patriots, falling 13-3. That's two games in a row now that the Crusaders have lost by exactly ten runs.

Park Place Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Graham Gilmore, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Gilmore a new career-high. Owen Bailey was another, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

Park Place Christian Academy now has a losing record of 8-9. As for East Rankin Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

While Park Place Christian Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
