Baseball Recap: Estacada's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Estacada came out on top against Madras on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run first inning. The Rangers blew past the White Buffaloes 10-3. That's two games straight that the Rangers have won by exactly seven runs.

Estacada let Blake Barger and Henry Riedel run wild. Barger went 3-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Riedel went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Riedel a new career-high. Will Olson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Estacada kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Madras only managed nine hits.

The victory (which was Estacada's third in a row) raised their record to 12-8-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Madras, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-17 record this season.

Estacada has already played their next matchup (against Crook County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Madras, they are taking a road trip to challenge Gladstone at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
