Game recap: Northern Guilford High School Football Team wins against Asheboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. - A big 35-point first quarter helped carry the Nighthawks to a 69-0 victory over Asheboro (N.C.) on Saturday.

Northern Guilford scored on a touchdown pass by Austin Coltrane to Jamon Reynolds, a punt return touchdown by T.J. Logan, a Logan touchdown run, a touchdown run by Logan and a Coltrane touchdown pass to Cameron Harris in the quarter.

After taking the lead on a touchdown pass by Coltrane to Reynolds in the first quarter, NG led 49-0 at the half.

The Greensboro school expanded its lead to 63 points entering the fourth quarter. The Nighthawks scored two times in the third, including once on a Burney Sindab touchdown run.

With the win Northern Guilford extended its winning streak to 11 games. NG defeated the Warriors 28-14 last week.



Logan was the top performer for the Nighthawks. The senior running back ran for three touchdowns. He has now scored 32 touchdowns on the season.

Northern Guilford had given up an average of 6.4 points prior to the contest.
