Softball Recap: Dayton Dust Devils vs. Reno Huskies
Dayton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 6-2 to the Reno Huskies. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dust Devils of the 12-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.
Dayton saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was LaSade Conti, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Bradlie Stevens was another, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
Dayton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Reno, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-13-1.
Coincidentally, Dayton and Reno will both be playing Douglas the next time they take the field. Reno will head out to face Douglas at 3:30 p.m. on Friday, while Dayton will play them later in the day, at 5:00 p.m.
