Basketball Recap: Holy Names Academy Comes Up Short

Holy Names Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 59-30 defeat at the hands of the Eastside Catholic Crusaders. Holy Names Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Eastside Catholic apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Holy Names Academy's record now sits at 2-9. As for Eastside Catholic, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Holy Names Academy will host Garfield at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Eastside Catholic, they will be playing at home against Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastside Catholic is facing Lincoln at the right time seeing as Lincoln is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
