Baseball Recap: West Lutheran Victorious

West Lutheran hadn't done well against Spectrum recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Warriors walked away with a 6-3 victory over the Sting. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 15-4 win the Sting walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2025.

Ethan Day looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out eight over four innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

On the hitting side, Hayden Kiecker was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Brenner Cahow was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

West Lutheran now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Spectrum, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 2-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. West Lutheran is set to take on their familiar foe New Life Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Spectrum will square off against rival St. Croix Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
