Basketball Recap: Barstow Takes a Loss

Barstow was the 46-43 winner over Heritage Christian Academy when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Barstow Knights fell 63-56 to the Heritage Christian Academy Chargers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 353rd in Missouri, while the Chargers are ranked 95th in Kansas).

Heritage Christian Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Declan Schoff out in front who went 5 for 11 on his way to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. Schoff has been hot recently, having posted four or more steals the last three times he's played. Spencer Cook was another key player, putting up 13 points and eight boards.

Barstow's loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.

Barstow has already played their next match (against Heritage Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Heritage Christian Academy will face off against Bishop Miege at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Heritage Christian Academy's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests.
