If King Academy was riding high fresh off their 16-9 takedown of Wardlaw Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Knights fell 9-4 to the Laurens Academy Crusaders on Friday. The Knights' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Casen Buzhardt was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Hutto, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

King Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Laurens Academy, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

Coincidentally, King Academy and Laurens Academy will both be playing Greenwood Christian the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Hawks at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Crusaders will host them at 6:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
