Baseball Game Preview: Alta Hawks vs. Skyline Eagles

The Alta Hawks will take on the Skyline Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Alta has given up an average of 7.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Alta is headed into Tuesday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games on Friday. They lost 14-6 to Woods Cross. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Hawks have suffered since March 12th.

Nash Williams made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Alta's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 2-1 (and 3-7 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Alexandros Price, who went 2-for-5 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, Skyline came up short against Brighton on Friday and fell 7-3.

Peyton Papadakis was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Atkinson, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Skyline's loss dropped their record down to 6-10. As for Alta, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-8.

Alta was able to grind out a solid win over Skyline when the teams last played back in April of 2025, winning 5-0. Do the Hawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
