Recap: Harvest Prep Warriors vs. Tri-Valley Scotties

The Harvest Prep Warriors came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 44.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Tri-Valley by a score of 56-43.

Harvest Prep's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Israelle Smith led the charge by scoring 23 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Maliyah Lofton, who scored 12 points along with six assists and two steals.

Harvest Prep's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-5. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.0 points per game. As for Tri-Valley, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.

Harvest Prep's road trip will continue as they head out to face Butler at 10:30 a.m. on January 15th. Butler presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Harvest Prep in their respective states (Butler is ranked 79th in Illinois, while Harvest Prep is ranked 250th in Ohio). As for Tri-Valley, they will head out on the road to take on New Lexington at 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully New Lexington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 last Wednesday.
