Basketball Recap: Mount Pisgah Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Mount Pisgah Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They rang in the new year with a 31-20 win over the Alpharetta Raiders on Friday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Patriots as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

When it comes to explaining why Alpharetta lost, don't look at Lauren Andrews. Despite the final result, she posted nine points and six steals. That was a full 45% of Alpharetta's points, marking the third time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Mount Pisgah Christian's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Alpharetta, their defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Mount Pisgah Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 53-26 loss against Westminster on the 4th. As for Alpharetta, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 60-13 defeat against West Forsyth on the 4th.
