Basketball Recap: Dover Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

Dover extended their winning streak to eight games thanks to a huge performance from Logan Young. The Dover Pirates breezed by the Two Rivers Gators to the tune of 69-18 on Friday thanks in part to Young, who went 8 for 13 on her way to 17 points in addition to eight rebounds and seven steals. The match was her seventh in a row with at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kenzie McCrotty, who went 5 for 7 on her way to 17 points. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

Dover's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-0. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 42 points. As for Two Rivers, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Dover didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-18 victory against Danville on the 7th. As for Two Rivers, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 36-31 defeat against Magazine on the 9th.
