Softball Recap: Three Straight Home Victories for Gresham

Gresham won against Clackamas on Friday with ten runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Gophers didn't even let the Reynolds Raiders on the board, marking the Gophers' second-straight 10-0 shutout. The Gophers haven't had any issues with the Raiders recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Maddy Sagapolutele was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Alyssa Grover was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Gresham always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .538. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Gresham's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Reynolds, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gresham is set to take on their familiar foe David Douglas at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Reynolds will face off against rival Barlow at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
