            Baseball Recap: Chiefland Indians vs. Bronson Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            It's playoff time, and Chiefland had no trouble coming through when it counted. They blew past the Bronson Eagles 12-1 on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Indians also won the last time the pair played  back in March of 2023.
  Trey Meeks was  incredible,  going 1-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Chiefland is undefeated when  Meeks posts two or  more  runs, but 7-9 otherwise. Another player making a difference was  Osten Jones, who  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

The  win was  the fourth in a row for Chiefland, bringing their record up to 12-9. The  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Bronson,  this is the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 6-14.
 Looking ahead, Chiefland will square off against Williston at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Devils have averaged an impressive 7.2  runs per game this season. Bronson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
