Soccer Game Preview: Evander Childs vs. Monroe Campus

The Evander Childs Tigers will square off against Monroe Campus at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

It was a proper cat-fight when Evander Childs duked it out with Lehman last Thursday. Neither the Tigers nor the Lions could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Evander Childs' first draw of the season.

Meanwhile, Monroe Campus kept a clean sheet against Truman on Monday. They blew past the Mustangs 7-0. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Monroe Campus' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Evander Childs' draw gives them a new season record of 1-2-1. As for Monroe Campus, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Everything went Evander Childs' way against Monroe Campus in their previous meeting back in October of 2019, as Evander Childs made off with a 4-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
