Soccer Game Preview: Alvin vs. Pearland

Alvin is 1-8 against Pearland since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Alvin Yellowjackets are taking a road trip to take on the Pearland Oilers at 7:30 p.m.

Alvin is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their sixth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Shadow Creek, falling 6-0. That's two games in a row now that the Yellowjackets have lost by exactly six goals.

Meanwhile, Pearland kept a clean sheet against Sam Rayburn on Friday. They were the clear victor by an 8-0 margin over the Texans. Anahi Gil was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

Pearland now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Alvin, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-8.

Alvin might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from Pearland in their previous matchup back in January. Can Alvin avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
