Basketball Recap: Malcolm Comes Up Short

Malcolm lost against Ashland-Greenwood back in February of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Malcolm Clippers took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Ashland-Greenwood Bluejays. While the Clippers didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Bluejays 11-6 in the first quarter.

When it comes to explaining why Malcolm lost, don't look at Carson Frank. Despite the final result, he posted 22 points. Aidan Cunningham was another key player, putting up ten points.

Malcolm's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Ashland-Greenwood, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-5.

Looking ahead, Malcolm will venture away from home to take on Centennial at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ashland-Greenwood, they will welcome Kearney Catholic on Thursday. Kearney Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.2 points per game this season.
