Recap: Northeast Vikings vs. Jesuit Tigers
The Northeast Vikings and the Jesuit Tigers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Northeast Vikings had to settle for second. They were dealt a 38-7 defeat at the hands of the Tigers. Northeast's defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Trey Whirley threw for 138 yards on 12 of 17 attempts. Jeremiah Jones was his top target, picking up 78 receiving yards.
Jesuit was led to victory by Will Griffin and Willy Suarez. Griffin threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes, while Suarez gained 171 total yards and four touchdowns. Griffin hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games.
Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Jesuit, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Northeast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jesuit will be playing at home against Gaither at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gaither will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
