Baseball Recap: Lincoln Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lincoln barely beat Lewis County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Minutemen on Tuesday. Nine seems to be a good number for the Cougars as the team scooped up a win with the same number of runs in their previous game.

The victory was the third in a row for Lincoln, bringing their record up to 13-10. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for Lewis County, they dropped their record down to 2-13 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Lincoln will be playing in front of their home fans against Preston at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lewis County, they will face off against Trinity Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
