Caston is 9-1 against West Central since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Comets will face off against the Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Caston is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Tri-County a 6-0 shutout. Winning may never get old, but the Comets sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Logan Mollenkopf was incredible, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Eli Holloway, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, West Central won against Pioneer on Wednesday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Trojans were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over North White.

Tate Leman was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Isaac Warner also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Caston's record now sits at 20-5. As for West Central, their record is now 16-5.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Caston has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.1 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like West Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Caston got the 'W' in their previous matchup back in April against West Central by a conclusive 19-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Comets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
