Softball Recap: Maple Grove Takes a Loss

After flying high against Brocton on Friday, Maple Grove came back down to earth. The Red Dragons lost 9-2 to the Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama Wolfpack on Tuesday.

Maple Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Meg Ryan, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI. That stolen base marked the first that Ryan has snagged this season.

Maple Grove's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama, their record now sits at 2-0.

Looking ahead, Maple Grove will welcome Westfield at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Clymer Central/Sherman/Panama, they will be playing at home against Chautauqua Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Wolfpack's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Thunderbirds have averaged an impressive 14 runs per game this season.
