Basketball Recap: Morrison Takes a Loss

Morrison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 22nd straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Amboy Clippers 42-13. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 657th, while the Clippers are ranked 241st).

Morrison's loss dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Amboy, they pushed their record up to 15-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Morrison has already played their next game (against Rock Falls), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Amboy will face off against Pearl City at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pearl City will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Amboy surely won't give up without a fight.
