Basketball Recap: Northfield Takes a Loss

Northfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Mankato East Cougars 81-52. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Cougars are ranked tenth).

Northfield's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Mankato East, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.

Northfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mankato East, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Mankato East Cougars face off against the Century Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
