Baseball Game Preview: Coronado Cougars vs. Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans

The Coronado Cougars will square off against the Fountain-Fort Carson Trojans at 9:00 a.m. on Friday. Coronado comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Coronado had taken Rampart down for four straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Saturday. Coronado fell just short of Rampart by a score of 4-3.

Meanwhile, while it was Fountain-Fort Carson who put the first points on the board on Thursday, it was Lewis-Palmer who put up more. Fountain-Fort Carson took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lewis-Palmer. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Rangers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Fountain-Fort Carson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nathan Illert, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Coronado's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Fountain-Fort Carson, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
