Baseball Recap: Hialeah Triumphs

After losing to Sunset the last time they met, Hialeah decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Thoroughbreds came out on top against the Knights by a score of 7-3 on Monday.

Hialeah gave Jude Fernandez the start and clearly made the right call: he struck out eight batters over 4.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits.

At the plate, Miguel Reyes was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Ronaldo Rivera was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Hialeah now has a winning record of 1-0-1.

Coming up, Hialeah will be playing in front of their home fans against North Miami Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sunset, they will head out to square off against Southridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
