Baseball Recap: Franklin Parish Makes It Five in a Row at Home

Franklin Parish put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They put the hurt on the Vidalia Vikings with a sharp 9-3 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Patriots, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Franklin Parish pushed their record up to 3-0 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.6 runs over those games. As for Vidalia, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Franklin Parish will venture away from home to square off against Vidalia at 5:00 p.m. on February 25th. As for Vidalia, they are taking a road trip to challenge Ferriday at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
