Basketball Recap: Pickering Comes Up Short

If Pickering was riding high fresh off their 62-13 takedown of DeQuincy last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pickering Red Devils took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Rosepine Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 47-39 back in January.

Pickering's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Rosepine, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 19-10.

Coming up, Pickering will head out to challenge Johnson Bayou at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Pickering is facing Johnson Bayou at the right time seeing as Johnson Bayou is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Rosepine, they will host East Beauregard at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
