Meanwhile, Cardinal Newman beat South Fork 6-1 on Thursday. The Crusaders haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Carl Calixte made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
