Basketball Recap: Eastside Sets Scoring Season-High Against Camden County Vo-Tech

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Eastside). They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the Camden County Vo-Tech Warriors 96-56. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 112th, while the Warriors are ranked 361st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Eastside got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jaden Faison out in front who went 6-for-10 en route to 17 points in addition to six assists and five steals. Those six assists gave Faison a new career-high. Romelo Mangum was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 14 points along with five assists and three steals.

Eastside smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 20 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in four consecutive matchups.

Eastside's record now sits at 9-13. As for Camden County Vo-Tech, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Coming up, Eastside will look to defend their home court on Monday against Winslow Township at 12:30 p.m. Eastside is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.9 points per game this season. Camden County Vo-Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
