Basketball Game Preview: North Kingstown Skippers vs. Smithfield Sentinels

Having just played yesterday, the North Kingstown Skippers will head out on the road to face off against the Smithfield Sentinels at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for North Kingstown and seven for Smithfield.

North Kingstown is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Rhode Island's top teams: Central, who was ranked seventh at the time (North Kingstown was ranked 18th). North Kingstown lost to Central at home by a 79-64 margin on Friday.

Meanwhile, Smithfield came up short against Lincoln on Thursday and fell 56-46.

North Kingstown's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Smithfield, their loss dropped their record down to 2-9.

North Kingstown beat Smithfield 71-64 in their previous meeting on January 7th. The rematch might be a little tougher for North Kingstown since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
