Baseball Game Preview: Strother Yellowjackets vs. Sasakwa Vikings

The Strother Yellowjackets will take on the Sasakwa Vikings at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Strother lost 10-2 to Stroud on Monday. That's two games in a row now that the Yellowjackets have lost by exactly eight runs.

Meanwhile, Sasakwa made easy work of Springer on Monday and carried off a 13-5 win.

Sasakwa let Ayden Livesay and Micah Wheeler run wild. Livesay went 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Wheeler scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three RBI gave Livesay a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Jones, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Sasakwa always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .760. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Sasakwa has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. Strother dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.
