Softball Recap: Elgin Comets vs. Northmor Golden Knights
Elgin came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Northmor Golden Knights, falling 16-1. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 5, 2018, but that streak is no more.
Elgin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madison Hill, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.
Elgin's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Northmor, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Elgin will square off against Perry at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Northmor, they will take on Clear Fork at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
