Volleyball Recap: Leroy-Ostrander Has No Trouble Against Kingsland

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Spring Grove, LeRoy-Ostrander was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Kingsland Knights. The Cardinals not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 11th (when they won 3-0).

LeRoy-Ostrander never let Kingsland on the board, but things got pretty close in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-20, 25-21.

LeRoy-Ostrander found their leader in freshman Tessa Lewison, who had 16 digs. Lewison has been hot, having posted 11 or more digs the last eight times she's played.

With the win, LeRoy-Ostrander broke their three-match losing streak and moved their record to 8-12. As for Kingsland, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-14.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. LeRoy-Ostrander is set to take on their familiar foe Glenville-Emmons at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Kingsland will square off against rival Lyle/Pacelli at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
