Softball Recap: Hamilton County Takes a Loss

Hamilton County came into this matchup off a tough six-run loss last Friday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Harrisburg Bulldogs by a score of 8-6 on Tuesday. The Foxes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Addison Kelley and Tinlea Webb did some serious damage despite the final result: Kelley scored three runs while going 2-for-4, while Webb went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. Kaylee Flannigan also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Hamilton County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Harrisburg, they pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Hamilton County has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Mt. Carmel on the 7th. As for Harrisburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 9-3 win against Massac County on the 8th.
