Football Recap: McMichael Takes a Loss + How To Watch

McMichael extended their losing streak to seven on Friday, dropping them down to 2-8. They took a blow against the Reidsville Rams, falling 69-12. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Phoenix of the 66-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Kai Tart threw for 66 yards and a pair of TDs.

As for Reidsville, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 8-2. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 28 points or more this season.

Reidsville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braxton Johnson out in front who threw for 128 yards and three touchdowns on only five passes. Kendre Harrison was in the mix too, providing the Rams with two scores.

Looking ahead, McMichael will head out on the road to challenge Shelby at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Phoenix will need to watch out since the Golden Lions have now posted at least 31 points in their last seven games. Reidsville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
