Commerce extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Maki Mitchell. The Commerce Tigers walked away with a 69-59 win over the Providence Christian Academy Storm on Wednesday thanks in part to Mitchell, who went 6-for-11 from beyond the arc on his way to 23 points. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in points.

Evan Peters was another key player, going 5-for-6 to rack up 11 points and five rebounds. He is also on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's played.

Commerce's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Providence Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-7.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers take on the Wildcats at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Commerce knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matches -- so hopefully Rabun County likes a good challenge. Providence Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
